Single Men and Women Top Home Sales, Says Survey

The recent survey has made new findings of home sales. You might not know it, but being single might just be the perfect time to invest in a home. In a recent study, results found that most purchases made for homes were made by individuals who were single, which boasts some great news for those men and women who are home shopping on their own.

Single men and women top home purchases, says recent survey

Some Highlights:

  • 24% of all recent home buyers were single at the time of purchase.
  • 47% of single men were driven by a desire to own a home of their own as the primary reason to buy.
  • 18% of first-time buyers were women who were single

It’s incorrect to assume that you should wait to buy a property with a significant other or partner. If anything these results should encourage single men and women to plan ahead and make the investment regardless of their relationship status.
